Philippa Lord (check out her all-gone-quiet Ghastly Nightmare site) and I first met at the late lamented Ronnie Scott's in January 2002 - it was her first Nick gig, she had a great time, and she's been making up for lost time ever since. ;) Hard to believe it's only been a few years - I feel like we've been friends and soul sistas forever!
You can see Phil's photos throughout the site, including the What's On interview page. Also with her digital camera, she has filmed quite a few video then and since, as have I once I got my Fuji, played with some arty framing ;) and figured out the best way to save the films for this site.
The old MPEGs and WMVs vary in length from 30 seconds to a maximum of a minute, and in size from around half a meg to 2 meg each. However, with the advent of my flash new Fuji E550 (and its 1Gb memory card!), we have just added a couple of longer new clips, including a sneaky peek at an as-yet-unrecorded new song, so we think you might not mind that it's almost 5 minutes long! If that doesn't get your attention, check to make sure you're still alive...
Anyway, here are the clips, with a little bit of information about where and when they were filmed. They are a good teaser as to why Nick's live gigs are such amazing experiences. Thanks so much to Phil for inspiring me with her almost fanatical devotion to the cause. ;) And thanks to Nick for not minding a little filming here and there...
